Modern video and tabletop games often have the inclusion of people with disabilities as a goal. Accessibility within board-games, the subject of this talk is the more challenging problem domain for many reasons. Increased accessibility is a tremendously good thing it benefits all of us. But for games, there is a paradox at the heart of the endeavour inaccessibility is where fun comes from, and its presence is necessary for game design. We will explore the implications in this event.
