The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) is an annual initiative to recognise the best emerging fiction writers in Europe. It is funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and includes its 41 participating countries across a cycle of three years. First held in 2009, the Prize aims to spotlight the creativity and diverse wealth of Europe’s contemporary literature while promoting its circulation throughout the continent and beyond.
