About the Urantia Foundation

The Urantia Foundation was incorporated in Illinois on January 11, 1950, to publish and preserve inviolate the original text of The Urantia Book.

Following the book’s first printing on October 12, 1955, the Foundation began its distribution in earnest. Today, the Urantia Foundation continues its work as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to seeding The Urantia Book and its teachings globally.

For over seven decades, the Foundation has ensured that the text remains unaltered. To date, it has overseen more than 25 high-quality translations and offers study materials and educational programs, including the tuition-free online Urantia Book International School.
