      Beskrivning

      Gallimard is an independent literary publishing house founded in 1911 by Gaston Gallimard, and now run by the founder's grandson, Antoine Gallimard. Its catalogue features more than 40,000 titles in literature and non-fiction, divided into numerous brands and collections. It includes some of the greatest names or world literature and thought, such as Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Marguerite Yourcenar and Michel Foucault, as well as contemporary authors such as Patrick Modiano (Nobel Prize 2014), J.M.G. Le Clézio (Nobel Prize 2008), Annie Ernaux (Nobel Prize 2022), Boualem Sansal, David Foenkinos, Maylis de Kerangal, Delphine de Vigan, Camille Laurens, Karine Tuil, Nathacha Appanah, Giuliano da Empoli, Scholastique Mukasonga, Sylvain Tesson (Prix Renaudot 2019), Marie Ndiaye (Prix Goncourt 2009), Leïla Slimani (Prix Goncourt 2016), Hervé Le Tellier (Prix Goncourt 2020) and Kamel Daoud (Prix Goncourt 2024), among others; or, on the non-fiction side, Luc Boltanksi, Cynthia Fleury, François Hartog, Gilles Lipovetsky, Johann Chapoutot and Barbara Stiegler.
