How do you talk to populists?

Beskrivning

Doron Rabinovicis author presentation focuses on his new book: a photographer entangled in a swirling dialogue with and about a populist politician. Rabinovici, writer and historian was born 1961 in Tel Aviv and raised in Vienna, . His work includes short stories, novels and academic articles. In Austria, he has repeatedly taken a prominent stand against racism and anti-Semitism. His latest work, "The Attitude", is a highly topical novel on the debate about fake news and alternative truths. A star press photographer is commissioned by a liberal weekly magazine to expose the leading candidate of a populist party in order to stop the seemingly unstoppable triumph of the party. With wit and irony, Rabinovici tells of an increasingly polarized and divided society. He describes the relativization of facts, the power of attraction of authoritarian ideas, and the seductive power of images.
