Corina Oproae

CORINA OPROAE (b.1973) is a Romanian-born poet who lives in Barcelona and writes in Spanish and Catalan. In Spanish she has published: Mil y una muertes [A thousand and one death] (2016), Intermitencias [Intermittencies] (2018), Desde dónde amar [Where to love from] (2021) and the anthology Temprana eternidad [Early eternity], (2019). An anthology with the same title, Tidig evighet (2020) was published in Swedish by Simon Editor Publishing house during the Internationell Poesifestival of Jönköping, in Teresa Wennberg’s translation. In Catalan she has written La mà que tremola [The hand that trembles] (2020). She herself signs the Romanian versions of her books. Her first prose book titled Corazones Minúsculos [Tiny Hearts] is currently under print. She has translated Romanian poets such as Marin Sorescu, Ana Blandiana, Lucian Blaga, Gellu Naum, Dinu Flamand, Ioan Es. Pop or Angela Marinescu.
