Sverige hade en ledande roll i kampen mot apartheid i Sydafrika – både det officiella Sverige och en bred folkrörelse engagerade sig mot det rasistiska styret, medan regeringar i många andra länder valde att blunda för förtrycket. Men vad lärde vi oss? Hur fortsätter vi att samverkan mellan Sverige och Sydafrika?
Ett samtal mellan de som var med då och som fortsätter engagera sig. Lindiwe Mabuza, poet och ANC:s representant i Sverige under apartheidtiden. Tomas Ledin, välkänd artist, som engagerade sig mot apartheid och bland annat var med organiserade den stora ANC-galan.

THE FIGHT AGAINST APARTHEID – WHAT WE DID AND WHAT WE LEARNED
Sweden played a leading role in the battle against apartheid in South Africa – both the official Sweden and a massive popular movement took on the racist leadership, while governments in many other countries chose to shut their eyes to the oppression. But what did we learn? How can we keep the collaboration between Sweden and South Africa going strong?
A dialogue between those who were there then, and who continue with their commitment to the movement. Lindiwe Mabuza, poet and ANC’s representative in Sweden during the apartheid era. Tomas Ledin, well-known singer who was engaged in the battle against apartheid and also participated in arranging the large ANC gala.
